The seaside suburbs of Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Simon's Town, although traditionally family orientated are becoming increasingly trendy for nightlife beyond the city limits - although this is largely centred upon restaurants and many informal bars. The nightlife has an arty and laid back vibe and consists of good conversation, drinks and music.

Kalk Bay Harbour
Kalk Bay boasts a number of trendy bars and restaurants on the waters. Cape to Cuba offers Latin-loving guests a Havana-style restaurant and bar. Purchase a range of Cuban cigars, whilst sipping over a Cuban Sunrise cocktail.

Brass Bell
Located on the shoreline in St James, this restaurant and bar has long been a favourite with locals and tourists. The Kalk Bay area is exploding into nightlife and earning itself a bohemian and arty reputation with quirky venues. The usual drinks come with a pub menu and snacks.

Embargo
Found adjacent to Flukes restaurant in Glencairn, Embargo has become the hot spot area for nightlife. They show all major sporting events on big screens with occasional karaoke nights and lots of live music. Often Embargo’s is frequented by South African bands and original music gigs.
